Ever wondered what all those strange symbols on your Ordnance Survey map mean?

Well, wonder no more. The OS have produced a range of handy reference guides to explain all the symbols used.

The full range of symbols can be accessed from this page. Perhaps the most common maps used by most people are the 1:50,000 Landranger and the 1:25,000 Explorer.
