New Office Web App features

Microsoft have just added some new features to their Office Web Apps.

 

One of these is the ability to embed powerpoint slide shows and excel workbooks in blogs. However, since this functionality uses iframes I thought I would test it out, since I know that some blogs don’t like iframes. The most obvious place to test it is in Microsoft’s own Windows Live blog, so here goes.

 

Switch to HTML mode…

 

 Paste in the iframe code, switch back to normal mode and hey presto!

And, as expected, the powerpoint presentation is not visible.

Had a respond to a posting on Facebook, from Microsoft no less. They are looking into it.

Q can I post any other iframes to the blog? Lets see…
