Wild camping in the Lake District

April 14, 2009 Leave a comment
Well we’re back, after our great adventure. All of my photos are now on my Flickr site.

Two nights wild camping and three days walking in the Lakes over the Easter weekend. Absolutely fantastic.

Full details and photos to follow but roughly.

Friday night we camped at Church Stile campsite in Nether Wasdale
Saturday we bagged Seatallan, Haycock, Scoat Fell, Pillar
Saturday night we camped between Pillar and Kirk Fell at a place called Looking Stead overlooking Black Sail Youth Hostel.
Sunday we scrambled (literally) up Kirk Fell and Great Gable before camping at Styhead Tarn
Monday we walked back to Church Stile along the length of Wastwater.
Monday afternoon I popped up Irton Pike and down again. Because it was there.

As I said more details to follow
